Ok, so you cant start Outlook due to an error message that pops up claiming "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window."
Yes, its a problem, but, its very simple to fix! Follow the steps bellow:
Windows XP users:
1) Click on Start.
2) Click on "Run".
3) Type in "outlook.exe /resetnavpane"
4) Hit the Enter key.
Done! Outlook should now start up fine. If not, attempt it one more time. If there is still a problem, pop your machine into Spy Computing and a technician will gladly help you.
Windows Vista/7 users:
1) Click Start (the windows logo orb)
2) Just above the Start button, a text entry box will appear. In this box simply type "outlook.exe /resetnavpane"
3) Hit the Enter key.
Done! Outlook should now start up fine. If not, attempt it one more time. If there is still a problem, pop your machine into Spy Computing and a technician will gladly help you.
The cause is basically a corruption in the navigation pane settings folder of Outlook. Without it, Outlook cannot start correctly.
